Somerset House

I think we're all feeling the excitement for Christmas around now, I know I am!! Especially after all this Uni work is done and I can just relax at last!

But one of the things I'm most excited to do over the Xmas break is to go ice skating at Somerset House. I went there the other week on a trip with uni to see the Dazed & Confused exhibition, which was amazing too! They were setting up the ice rink, and it looked so beautiful, and got em SO excited!! Can't wait!!

Loosing boys to technology!!

Well this weekend my boyfriend has come down to Southampton to visit me. We decided to take a day out today for a Nandos, then we went off for a nice cup of tea at Pret.

Then once we got back after a lovely day, I was suddenly in the position where I had lost my boyfriend to his I Phone where he was playing 'brain training,' and my house mate Jack was brain washed by his X-Box! So I found myself sat on the sofa with no one to talk to, bored, bored and BORED!

Why is it when technology is around boys loose all other senses? And as I'm blogging right now, yes you've guessed it, my boyfriend is once again lost to his I Phone app - Brain Training! Great!!

Sorry its been so long...I'm now a third year!!?

I know, I'm useless and haven't posted in a very long time! But I'm making the effort now, that's what count ey!?

Well I had a great summer, not much great weather as I'm sure you all know! I suppose we're well into our way in Winter now, which is rather depressing, and which is even more depressing is the amount of Uni work I have now I'm a third year....great.

So the main big question at the moment, is what the hell do I concentrate my dissertation on?! I know I want to concentrate on feminism, but I need a bloody angle, which is hard to do with such a broad subject! So that's what is mainly taking up my life recently....and I've just started another blog on student cooking, have a look if your interested-http://whatsinyourcupboard.tumblr.com/

The only problem doing a food blog, is all the tasty recipes and treats you come across whilst researching, its not fair!

Hurry up Summer!!

Hi everyone,

I've been a bit bad and haven't blogged since last week, but I've had a good excuse as my boyfriend is down visiting me for a week!

Anyway, I'm sure its not just me, but all this sunshine we're getting in the last couple of days is getting be rather excited for summer! I'm already getting over excited and jumping to the naive conclusion that because the sun is out, I can get away with just a light jumper and open shoe....Early March sun is deceptive! But despite this its still so nice to have the sun shining compared to the horrid wet winter we had!

I just can't wait for a nice hot summer...but maybe I'm getting my hopes a little high - we do live in England of course!

2) Girls holiday to Zante or Malia? (Anyone been and got a preference? )

Gaga gone too far?

As most of you probably have noticed, Lady Gaga's new video is just a little bit over the top. Acting as some sort of queen alien who gives birth to many mini Gagas, who I think one is meant to be evil due to the skull?? She really has pushed the boundary of her already know out there persona. She regularly shocks the public in strange and bizarre outfits, such as her dress which was entirely made out of meat. She says that her new video for 'Born This Way,' was heavily influenced from one of her idols, Salvador Dali.

Junk Jewels

Just thought I'd show you a few pictures from 'junk jewels.' I saw their stand at clothes show live a couple of years ago and their jewellery is lovely. I brought a gorgeous gold necklace from them which had a pink rose on it and a tiny delicate butterfly. They do really cute pieces, which are very feminine and girlie.
